DéLonghi Prima Donna Elite Coffee Maker

DéLonghi’s new bean to cup home coffee maker (above) takes all the guesswork out of preparing your favourite brew thanks to the app that drives it. Prima Donna Elite houses DéLonghi’s first ever programmable digital app so coffee connoisseurs can choose from a range of standard brews – flat whites, espresso, even hot chocolate – or set up personal profiles to cater to the preferences of up to six different people. You can even order your coffees from the ease of your smartphone - say from the lounge as you relax after dinner – as long as you make sure there are cups in the machine. Prima Donna Elite recently took home the Plus X Award for Best Product of the Year (Bean to Cup Category) 2015 / 16.

Breville Bakery Boss Bench Mixer

Breville has added to its range of premium kitchen bench mixers with the new Bakery Boss. The combination of a 1200W heavy duty high torque motor and 100% metal gears with more teeth allows for longer running times under heavy loads.

Bakery Boss motor easily handles heavy doughs or batter mix since it detects a heavier load and automatically adjusts the power to maintain the selected speed. For a quality patisserie result, commercial mixers use a planetary mixing action, which Bakery Boss replicates with a counter-clockwise mixing head and anti-clockwise sweeping action of wide attachments to ensure 360° coverage of the entire bowl while the double scraper beater wipes the sides and bottom of the bowl with every turn, cutting mixing time by up to 60%.

The 3.8-litre stainless steel bowl is perfect for doing small quantities of mixing and the scraper whisk has a flexible whisk perfect for mixing sugar evenly back into a meringue without the need for lifting the head and scraping the sides down. The whisk also separates from the beater so it’s perfect for small cakes and batters. Bakery Boss also comes with a light that illuminates from under the mixer head and a 4.7L clear glass borosilicate bowl to keep an eye on the mix.

Miele FashionMaster Ironing System

This complete steam ironing system combines a hand iron with a honeycomb soleplate, exclusive to Miele, with an intuitive active ironing table and a steam generator. A very manoeuvrable and easy-to-use unit, the patented 1-2 Lift System enables quick and easy set-up in just two easy movements. The ironing table can then be adjusted to suit the most comfortable working height.

Unlike conventional irons, the honeycomb soleplate distributes steam on demand across the entire soleplate. The resulting 4 bar steam pressure allows the iron to glide effortlessly and gently and deliver professional ironing results with either steam pulses or continuous steam delivery.

Ironing time is also dramatically reduced with FashionMaster’s consistent dry steam output of 100 grams/minute which penetrates even very thick or dense material and eliminates the need to iron both sides. FashionMaster includes a non-stick soleplate ideal for ironing textiles with appliqués and sequins and also prevents shiny patches on dark items.

The Steam Jet attachment is perfect for gentle smoothing of hanging garments such as jackets, dresses or even curtains and can be used while the FashionMaster is folded away.

Russell Hobbs Smooth IQ Iron

The new Russell Hobbs Smooth IQ Iron collection is here with a Wrinkle Defence System. Using similar technology found in premium hair straighteners, the Smooth IQ soleplate is infused with tourmaline to reduce static and friction, which creates super smooth, anti-static results.

The soleplate is also specially formulated and infused with fabric softening agents which act on fabric while ironing to help defend against wrinkles and offers 46% improved glideability meaning less friction and quicker, easier and more efficient ironing.
