YouTube Music is Google's latest attempt at the paid music subscription service market and Samsung updates the office whiteboard with Flip.

YOUTUBE MUSIC TO TAKE ON THE "ESTABLISHMENT"

YouTube Music is Google’s latest attempt to lock into the lucrative paid subscription music market dominated by the likes of Spotify and Apple Music.

Google has long struggled to create a curated music listening experience that can work alongside the mass of music video content already watched by millions of users for free on its own YouTube service.

Attempts so far include Google Play Music, Google Play All Access, YouTube Music Key and YouTube Red.

Time will tell if this one takes.

SAMSUNG FLIP IS THE NEW OFFICE WHITEBOARD

Samsung New Zealand has announced the launch of its new Samsung Flip digital flip chart display.

The Samsung Flip WM55H is a major upgrade on both standard paper flip charts and analogue boards, expanding opportunities to generate ideas while maintaining the feel of writing.

The Flip allows easy sharing, annotation, movement and even searching. Up to four different participants can introduce content through finger input or annotate directly on screen at the same time using the dual-sided pen.

Each user can customise their own writing style, size and colour, with each notation made clear and visible by viewer-friendly UHD resolution.

The Samsung Flip display also offers extensive device compatibility through both wireless connectivity and USB, PC and mobile ports.

An integrated screen-sharing functionality makes Flip content available on connected PCs, smartphones and tablets without interruption or reduced visual quality.

Users also can import personally-stored content onto the Flip display’s screen and introduce fresh ideas to the discussion.
