AI ASSISTANTS TO DRIVE-COMPATIBLE DEVICE BASE
Canalys is forecasting that the number of smart assistant-compatible devices such as light bulbs, door locks and air-conditioning units will grow by 500%, reaching 1.6 billon units by 2022.
This growth is based on the increased access and ease of use of virtual assistants such as Siri and Alexa.
Most of these compatible devices are predicted to be related to home automation and lighting followed by home security.
Growth is also thought to be driven by the arrival of increasingly cheaper devices with new sensors giving more available information for smart assistants to report and act upon.

This latest development is part of a larger push by Amazon into the health and wellness arena.
KODAK SMART MONITORING & SECURITY PRODUCTS
A substantial range of Kodak brand smart home security and baby monitor products are now available in Australia and New Zealand through DLG International.

All cameras also have on-board direct recording onto Micro SD (Max 128GB) as well as a cloud storage option.
