Breville acquisition delivers water and air purification opportunity, new DOLCE GUSTO partnership a coup.

Yesterday Breville Group announced the immediate acquisition of the Aquaport business from Aquaport Corporation Pty.

Aquaport specialises in water and air purification products under its two brands - Aquaport and Cli-Mate - which means that Breville has a brand new product segment to explore across the Australian and New Zealand markets.  

Originally a water filtration company, Aquaport's product offering now includes air purification and related accessories.

Water purification and chiller products come under the Aquaport brand, including desktop and under sink systems, filter taps, fridge filters, and floor standing water coolers for both the home and office.

Products under the Cli-Mate brand include air dryer dehumidifiers, air purifiers, air humidifiers, aroma diffusers, compressor dehumidifiers and desktop air purification systems.

“As an Australian company ourselves, we are excited to welcome Aquaport into the Breville stable,” says Mark O’Kelly, General Manager, Breville ANZ. 

"We are looking forward to integrating this business with our own offering and sharing the strategy in more detail with our retail partners in due course.”

Expect the first fruits of this new relationship to appear in New Zealand by October this year.

 

Breville is the new NESCAFÉ DOLCE GUSTO portioned coffee partner

The other important news is that Breville will be the new partner for NESCAFÉ DOLCE GUSTO machines in Australia and New Zealand.

Evan Gongolidis, Business Executive Officer for Nestlé Beverages Australia & New Zealand, says: “We are very pleased to announce this new partnership. We believe it creates an opportunity for more growth in the portioned coffee machine market.”

NESCAFÉ DOLCE GUSTO launch partner De’Longhi will remain a machine partner of NESCAFÉ DOLCE GUSTO in Australia and New Zealand until the end of 2017.

The announcement of the new arrangement says; "NESCAFE DOLCE GUSTO has enjoyed a strong partnership with De’Longhi locally since launching in 2012 and globally.

"We would like to thank them for their support."

Breville will begin selling NESCAFÉ DOLCE GUSTO machines from 1 November 2017.
