How to seek out cool new start-ups that add value to your business? Get into VC yourself, says Miele.

Looking for budding start-up companies with a “focus on creative solutions compatible with Miele products, services, value chains, business models or manufacturing processes”, Miele has set up a new subsidiary enterprise, Miele Venture Capital.

The company is not just aiming to inject external creativity into smart home and domestic appliances, but is also looking to expand its involvement in the business and medical environments.

Co-operation with start-ups will range from joint development projects or management support through to direct equity stakes.
