MITSUBISHI ELECTRIC ADDS VOICE CONTROL TO WI-FI-ENABLED HEAT PUMPS

Mitsubishi Electric heat pumps connected with the brand’s optional Wi-Fi Control are now also Alexa-enabled for hands-free control.

BDT Product Manager, Sarah Ellison, predicts that as homes become more connected, voice controlled heat pumps will be the way of the future for optimum comfort.

“Not only does this simplify everyday living by letting you switch on your heat pump or changing the temperature when you have your hands full, it also means it is easier than ever for those who have impaired vision or disabilities to switch on their heat pump by uttering simple commands,” she says.

The Mitsubishi Electric Heat Pump Control Skill was developed in-house by BDT, using the predefined Alexa Smart Home Skill which was specifically created for HVAC devices.
