IKEA’S FASHION FORWARD SPEAKERS

With its collaboration with Sonos yet to surface, IKEA has launched its own range of Enerby Bluetooth-enabled loudspeakers.

They seem more about style than outright audio performance but they are certainly styley with both a retro vibe and colourways.

CDS AND VINYL BEAT DOWNLOADS (!) BUT STREAMING REIGNS

With streaming services making the joys of digital downloads largely redundant, sales in the US have now fallen even lower than physical products like vinyl, CDs and even cassettes!

Download sales fell to US$1.3 billion last year, whereas physical sales declined to US$1.5 billion.

Streaming services reached half of all revenue in 2016 and that figure increased by another 43% in 2017 with almost two-thirds of all revenue coming from streaming at over $5.7 billion.
