Photokina – moving with the times

Photokina 2016 is almost upon us (20-25 September). This year Photokina has a new branding and a new outlook, clearly with one eye on integrating the rise of non-traditional products into the Cologne photography fair.

As well as its new visual branding and “Imaging unlimited” tag line, there will be special events in the city and at Photokina, as well as new themes like moving images.

The city of Cologne will also celebrate the show with a Photokina festival including photo promotions, workshops and major projections.

Panasonic LUMIX H-X012 24mm Ultra-Wide Lens

Perfect for shooting landscapes and astrophotography, as well as being optimised for smooth, silent and seamless 4K video, the new 24mm Ultra-Wide Angle F1.4 High-Speed Single Focal Length LEICA DG SUMMILUX Lens (H-X012) is LUMIX’s brightest, widest-angle weather sealed LEICA Micro Four Thirds Lens to date. Suited to a range of photographic situations, the LEICA DG SUMMILUX Lens is perfect for shooting landscapes across an ultra-wide angle. It captures dynamic scenes with rich perspective and high resolution. Because of its ability to produce crisp clarity and an impressive natural defocussing effect with its F1.4 large aperture, H-X012 is also ideal for capturing photos and video in low-light situations, such as astrophotography or shooting when indoors.
