GOOGLE LENS UPDATES NOW AVAILABLE ON SOME PHONES
Last week Google gave details on its latest update to Google Lens and these features are now available on some Android phones.
Google Lens is an app that provides "real-time answers to questions about the world around you" by bringing up relevant information on objects and environments it identifies through your phone camera.
The updated features include a new tap and slide interface when objects are identified and the live augmented reality features are now more proactive with recognised objects showing anchored dots that load available information when tapped.
Only select phones have the updates available natively in their cameras for now but they should be available as a separate app on Google Play soon.

The new inReach Mini from Garmin is one of the most compact satellite communicators on the market.
Now palm sized compared to previous bricks, this model measures 10x5cm, weighs just 100g and brings safe, reliable communication to the most off-grid locations.
When used with an Iridium satellite subscription, users have two-way text messaging, 24/7 SOS function, weather updates, navigation, tracking info and more available to them in areas with no mobile coverage.
Bluetooth capability also allows for connection to compatible Garmin wearables and handhelds while the Earthmate App easily pairs with the inReach Mini for access to unlimited maps and aerial imagery on compatible smartphones.
