Samsung shows off new gen Family Hub

Samsung showed off the latest version of its Samsung Family Hub refrigerator at CES in January boasting improved smart features and connectivity.

The new Family Hub adds deeper support for Samsung’s Bixby voice assistant and adds SmartThings integration that lets you adjust lights, cameras, thermostats and more around the home.

Also new to this generation of Family Hub is a set of high quality
speakers from AKG to enhance music streaming from your smartphone!

Samsung’s 2018 Family Hub fridges will launch in the first half of
the year.


Electrolux’s lower cost induction

Electrolux debuted a number of new appliances at the 2018 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in January, including its first ever induction cooktop for under US$1,000.

Also on show was a new integrated dishwasher that boasts vastly improved cleaning and a drying system that uses heating elements and a fan to ensure total dryness without a tea towel wipe at the end of the cycle.

No word yet as to availability in New Zealand.
