Fujifilm launches Wonder Photo Shop

Soon to become a reality in NZ, as overseas (see photo above), the new Fujifilm Wonder Photo Shop concepts have been rolling out in an effort to get more people to print their photos.

Why? Every year, two billion photos are taken on smartphones, but less than 2% of these are ever printed.

At a Fujifilm Wonder Photo Shop, customers can bring their favourite images from smartphones and social media to life, through prints, personalised and wall decoration photo products, and unique DIY photo creations.

Wonder Photo Shops will be available at shared outlets including Harvey Normans and Warehouse Stationery over the next few months.

A soon to be released website will enable consumers to create the look and feel of their desired print options, before selecting their closest retail outlet for pick up or home delivery.

Canon EOS M5 Mirrorless Camera

Details from shadows to highlights are captured beautifully with the EOS M5 thanks to DiG!C7 with boosted image processing power for lower noise and more detailed images with richer tones. When combined with the 24.2 MP CMOS sensor, spontaneous moments are captured with speed, accuracy and the freedom to crop. Sophisticated recognition and subject tracking helps EOS M5 lock onto subjects more precisely in both movies and stills while the in-built, high resolution OLED electronic viewfinder offers a fast 120 fps refresh rate. When using the viewfinder, the LCD touchscreen can be turned into a touchpad, so your thumb can change the AF point or zone. Bluetooth creates a constant connection between smartphone & camera with the Canon Camera Connect App. Whether you’re shooting full HD movies at 60p or simply shooting in unusual conditions, with the ability to select ISO up to a massive 25,600, the EOS M5 is the camera to be carrying for unique, well composed photographs.

Panasonic LUMIX GH5 DSLR

Panasonic’s latest flagship model of LUMIX G Digital Single Lens Mirrorless cameras has really got pundits, serious photographers and professional videographers buzzing. Packed with a wealth of video features, the GH5 is also one very capable stills camera, offering blistering burst-shooting options, advanced AF packed into a rugged magnesium alloy body that’s weather-sealed and freeze-proof to –10°C. The new 20.3 MP Digital Live MOS Sensor achieves highest-ever picture quality and noise reduction, even in ISO 25,600 image recording. Gimbal-like stability is attained combining a new gyrosensor and the BIS (Body Image Stabilizer). Record video in 4K 60p UHD, or with the Variable Frame Rate, record over or under cranked video in 4K. Naturally, it records in Full HD at 180 fps or 7.5x slower. The electronic viewfinder with the ability to capture 18 MP images at 30 fps has huge potential for sports and action photography – and that’s before you even get to the 8 MP stills at 60 fps. As you’d expect, there’s also built-in Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth connectivity, with raw transfer now supported.
