More details have emerged since Shriro's 6 June announcement about the partnership between Heston Blumenthal and its Everdure BBQ brand.
Details are scarce but, according to a pre-launch brochure (as you can see above, featuring the multi-Michelin-starred chef dressed more like an iron working artisan than a typical chef in whites), the pitch is all about creating an "authentic experience", which means charcoal, not gas.
Although the collateral also speaks of "mastering the heat" and the "deep tradition that runs through charcoal cooking", locally designed, the Everdure by Heston Blumenthal range is said to include a few mod cons like an ignition system to light the charcoal.
Due for launch at, we think, Spoga+gafa in Cologne, the products are said to be in-store from early September.
More details on New Zealand availability soon.
